The rapidly increasing value of the Canadian dollar has caused buyers to look for cars and trucks in the US. However, many vehicle manufacturers have made it very difficult, if not impossible, to buy new vehicles from US retailers. For example, GM has specified that retailers cannot sell new/untitled GM vehicles to Canadians. However, we are allowed to sell used GM’s to Canadians.

Infiniti not only permits its dealers sell to Canadian buyers, Infiniti also allows Canadians to carry the warranty over the border.

Things you will need to know before crossing the border:
If you choose to work with Capital Auto Brokers, you won’t need to worry about these things they will take care of all the details.

Recall clearance letter
The vehicle must bear a manufacturer's valid U.S. statement of compliance
label at the time of importation
The Registrar of Imported Vehicles will mail a Canadian statement of
compliance label to you after passing the federal inspection
Valid alphanumeric 17–digit VIN
Metric speedometer and odometer labels (provided by inspection centre)
Daytime running lights (you will need to have this done to your Infiniti)
Infant restraint kit
Child tether anchorage (check Admissibility List)
8 km/hour bumpers (check Admissibility List)
French supplementary restraint system label for airbags that require br /> periodic maintenance





More things you should know:

You will need to fax a copy of the Bill of Sale and the MSO or title to US Customs
72 hours in advance to crossing
US Customs may have some fees associated with crossing (Typically $195 US)
Once you cross the border there will be a 6.1% Tariff from the Canadian
Government
Typically, wire transfer is the best way to purchase your vehicle. If you
absolutely need to pay with a check we hold the MSO/Title to the vehicle for 10
business days you will not be able to cross with out it. However, there are very
reasonably priced storage facilities near the border you can store the vehicle
until the 10–day grace period has passed.
You will need to have insurance on the vehicle before picking it up. Your
insurance agent will inform you about the process
