What should I do at the end of my lease? |
End of lease options
At the end of your lease you have two lease-end options.
Purchase your current Infiniti
If you decide that you’d like to purchase your current Infiniti, simply visit your Infiniti Retailer prior to the end of your lease term. They'll discuss what your available options are and, in addition, you can arrange financing for the purchase of your current Infiniti vehicle. If you purchase your Infiniti, you will not be charged for any excess mileage and/or excessive wear and use. For further information about purchasing your Infiniti lease at end of term, please contact Infiniti Financial Services at 1.800.627.4437 (7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., CST).
Turn in your Infiniti
When it comes time to turn in your Infiniti, there are five steps to follow.
- Have your vehicle inspected for excess wear and use prior to your vehicle return date. (You'll need to contact the Infiniti Lease Customer Network at 1.800.887.5155 (8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., CST) to arrange for a complimentary inspection at your home or place of business.
- If excess wear and use is discovered during your vehicle inspection, you have the option of making repairs before returning your vehicle. Your Infiniti Retailer may be able to help you do this in a cost-effective way. In fact, the cost of repairs, if any, may be covered by your insurance company with your only expense being the deductible*. If you decide to have repairs made, please call our Lease Customer Network for a re-inspection appointment at 1.800.887.5155 (8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., CST). To learn more about the vehicle inspection process (including conducting your own inspection) and to see examples of Normal and Excess Wear and Use, please view the Wear and Use Guide.
- Contact your Infiniti Retailer prior to the lease expiration date to schedule a specific appointment time to ensure a prompt and efficient vehicle return experience.
- Complete the Federal Odometer/Lease Termination Statement electronically at the Retailer. This form is completed on your Infiniti Retailer's computer. You will also be required to sign this document electronically using the Retailer's signature pad. And be sure to request a printed copy for your records, as this is your receipt for your lease return.
- Call the Lease Customer Network at 1.800.887.5155 (8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., CST) to report the return of the vehicle.
*Contact your insurance carrier for details.
Lease contracts dated on/after January 6, 2009 are subject to a disposition fee at time of contract termination, if applicable.

What happens if I exceed the mileage limit on my lease? |
|
There is a charge at the end of your lease for any miles exceeding the amount agreed-upon. See your lease agreement for your mileage limit and per-mile charge. For further information about your Infiniti, please call the Lease Customer Network at 1.800.887.5155 (8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., CST).

What happens when my lease ends? |
What happens at lease-end will really depend on whether you choose to purchase your Infiniti, return your leased vehicle and then lease or purchase another, or simply return it and walk away. As the end of your lease approaches, we will be in touch with several communication pieces discussing all options available to you, and give further detail as to the exact chain of events. Should you decide at lease-end to simply return your Infiniti, your vehicle will be inspected by a third party to determine if any excessive wear and usage exists, and you will then formally terminate your lease obligation and fulfill any lease-end fees and taxes. Again, you will receive specific information regarding the return of your vehicle as you near your lease-end date. For further information about your Infiniti, please call the Lease Customer Network at 1.800.887.5155 (8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., CST).

Where do I return my vehicle? |
|
In most cases, your vehicle should be returned to the same Retailer that originally executed your lease. If this is not possible, (for example, due to a Retailer closing, or if you have relocated to another state) you may return the vehicle to any Nissan or Infiniti Retailer. You may contact Infiniti Financial Services at 1.800.887.5155 (8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., CST) for assistance on locating a Retailer near you.

What if I want to purchase my vehicle at lease end? |
|
If you simply can't bear to part with your Infiniti vehicle at the end of your lease (and needless to say, we quite understand), you will have the option to purchase it at whatever price was agreed to when you initially signed your lease. In choosing to purchase your vehicle, you will not be responsible for any excess mileage or excessive wear and use, but other charges, fees (such as purchase option fee), and taxes may still apply.
If you decide that you'd like to purchase your current Infiniti, Infiniti Financial Services will assign your Infinti and lease agreement to an Infiniti Retailer, who will then sell your Infiniti to you. Your Infiniti lease may provide that you are responsible for incidental charges such as sales tax, vehicle registration, a purchase option fee, etc. Certain state and local laws may require you to pay a smog or safety inspection fee, etc. For additional information about purchasing your Infiniti at lease end, please call the Lease Customer Network at 1.800.887.5155 (8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., CST).
For leases, Infiniti Financial Services acts as servicer for Nissan-Infiniti LT.
